To start off our talk today about organic fertilizing. I would like to give you an idea of what organic really means. In the natural world compounds are created by nature. In the chemical world compounds are created in the laboratory. Organic refers to the natural environment. Leaves are organic, added to a compost pile they are great. A phosphorus coming out of the ground is organic. Blood meal coming from a byproduct from the animal industry is an an organic compound that put together we can create healthy green plants.

Plant don’t have to be pumped with chemicals to give us what we’re looking for. Organic is not just science. Organic has art. Organic lets us create from our own environment wherever we live. Plants that can give us food, plants that can give us incredible flowers, food for the stomach, food for the soul. This is what organic is about. It’s about being natural.
